Store Technician

Transdev Canada is seeking a dependable and highly organized Store Technician to support the Hazel McCallion Light Rail Transit project in Brampton.
Reporting to the Rolling Stock Manager, the Store Technician will be responsible for the receipt, storage, control, documentation, and distribution of parts, tools, equipment, and materials within the Operations, Maintenance and Storage Facility (OMSF).
Your role
- Receive, inspect, verify, label, and electronically record incoming parts and materials.
- Issue parts, tools, equipment, and supplies to maintenance employees as required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels using Maximo.
- Ensure required parts and materials are available to support Maintenance and Procurement activities.
- Organize storage areas in accordance with approved storage-management procedures.
- Coordinate deliveries, warranties, returns, damaged goods, and defective materials with vendors.
- Track tool inspections, certifications, and required documentation.
- Ensure hazardous materials are properly identified, documented, stored, and handled.
- Operate a forklift, other approved material-handling equipment, and safe lifting practices in indoor and outdoor areas.
- Follow all company policies, site procedures, WHMIS requirements, and applicable health and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your profile
- Minimum one year of relevant experience in warehousing, inventory, parts, logistics, stores, or maintenance support.
- Experience using Maximo or a similar computerized inventory or maintenance-management system.
- Valid forklift licence or certification.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of tools, parts, and maintenance materials.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Work Experience Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or training in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, procurement, or a related field.
- Experience in rail, transit, automotive, industrial maintenance, construction, or a technical warehouse.
- Experience operating cranes or additional material-handling equipment.
- Experience with other warehouse, inventory, or maintenance-management software.
